FEEDBACK LOOP: Digital Memory Research Unit
ALEX SUÁREZ lives and works in New York City. He is currently pursuing his MFA in the Brooklyn College Performance and Multimedia Art program and is currently a Tow International Research Fellow. Through his fellowship, Suarez studied composition and sound art under Laurel Halo. Suarez has toured extensively and recorded several experimental/industrial LPs and EPs under the name Cienfuegos. The project’s focus lies in the complex dynamic between identity and sovereignty. He is currently interested in multi-channel audio as well as AI applications for generating sound and synthesis.
darLane Litaay is digging to make things talk, with presence and blur performance. Was born and raised in Papua (eastern Indonesia) and recently moved to NYC to study Performance and Interactive Media Arts at Brooklyn College. After graduating from the dance department at ISI Yogyakarta, he has presented his performance works throughout notable venues and festivals in Europe, Asia, Australia, and America. From 2012 to 2019, darLane participated in many exchange programs and received funds from overseas institutions.
LUCY HOLLIER works with sound, performance, and public collaboration as a way to consider and question value, translation, and ritual. She uses the unfolding of an experience as a process and follows the unexpected as a way of rethinking everyday motions. Originally trained as a musician and composer, her practice now incorporates performance art and multimedia installation. Lucy is studying at Brooklyn College’s Performance and Interactive Media Arts program.
